Stuffed Mussels

Try a simple stuffed mussels recipe with breadcrumbs, cheese, and parsley. Mussels are opened with white wine over high heat, as is done in Italy, then stuffed with a mixture of parmesan and breadcrumbs and baked until golden brown.


Stuffed Mussels with Cheese

Ingredients (2-4 servings)

  • 20 pcs Mussels
  • 100 g Breadcrumbs
  • 50 g Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 100 ml White Wine
  • 4 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1-2 Garlic Cloves
  • Black Pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Remove all open and broken shells. Pull and remove the byssus thread. Clean the mussels with a knife blade and an iron brush. Rinse the mussels under running water.

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a saucepan over high heat. Add mussels, stalks of parsley, and a garlic clove.

Pour white wine; leave it to evaporate for 1 minute. Cover the saucepan with a lid and simmer for 1-2 minutes over high heat until the mussels begin to open. Remove from heat, strain, save the sauce.

Separate the shells, remove the empty half. Mix chopped parsley, grated or finely chopped garlic clove, breadcrumbs, and grated parmesan. Add a soma sauce, add black pepper, mix. Fill the mussels, grease with olive oil.

Bake at 190C for 10-15 minutes.
