Unusual sweet and spicy appetizer sauce of hot green pepper – have you tried this before? The spicy marmalade amazingly combines with grilled chicken. Try this marmalade as a sauce for sandwiches – it goes perfect with smoked meat, soft cheese such as feta, and spicy sausages with pickled vegetables or olives.

Cut peppers in half, remove the seeds. Coarsely chop the flesh.
Put the pepper into a small deep saucepan, add a little salt. Add the sugar and the wine (red wine will make the finished marmalade darker). Cover the pan with a lid and simmer the peppers for about 1 hour. Beat the marmalade with a submersible blender. Boil the marmalade for another 30 minutes over low heat. Store the finished marmalade hermetically closed in the refrigerator for 1 week in a glass or ceramic bowl.
I love that pepper, I’m growing about 20 different varieties, many Hungarian ones this year, and have been experimenting with heat levels. I love jalapeno, it’s such a delicious workhorse of a pepper.
This does look interesting.

This looks beautiful, what kinds of pepper were used? Regardless, thanks for a beautiful basic recipe that will work with any peppers.

I used a green jalapeno, which is not so strong. I think with the red one it will be really hot.
